Vivosorb – a synthetic matrix for preventing tissue adhesion

Anti-adhesion film made of 199+/-14 μm thick synthetic transparent bio-absorbable copolymer fiber.

The film can be used as a barrier between muscles and tendons or nerves to prevent postoperative adhesions. It is also used for soft tissue reinforcement.

The mechanical properties last up to 10 weeks after implantation. After this time, biodegradation occurs by hydrolysis, resulting in weight loss.
